Carnival

The town council of San Bartolome de Tirajana organises the International Carnival of Maspalomas, held every year since 1974 and recognised as a Fiesta of Regional Tourist Interest. Staged around Playa del Ingles and the Yumbo Centrum, it is one of the Canary Islands' great winter carnivals and the setting for a Drag Queen Gala at the heart of gay Maspalomas.
