Raidd Bar is at 23 rue du Temple, in the Marais, close to the Hôtel de Ville metro station. If you are after a gay bar in Paris that turns into a party as the night goes on, this is one of the liveliest addresses in the neighbourhood, with a queer crowd that mixes regulars, visitors and drag performers.
The evening starts as a bar, with a happy hour at half price on drinks (bottles excluded) until 10pm, then the volume goes up. Dancers perform on stage, and the famous shower shows begin every night from midnight. Entry is free on regular nights.
The weekly programme changes theme from one night to the next, with drag evenings, live shows, a beer night on Mondays and tribute parties to pop stars, so it is worth checking the bar’s website or Instagram before you go. Raidd opens at 6pm every day and stays open until 4am from Sunday to Thursday, and until 5am on Friday and Saturday, which makes it a natural last stop after the quieter bars of the Marais.
