The first of the three titles of the fortnight, and the one with the widest reach. The jury interviews are held two days earlier at Toms Bar, and the election itself takes over Club Kiki on the Sunday evening. Free to attend, and the room fills early.
A title holder is not a beauty queen with a harness. He spends the following year as a visible spokesperson for the scene, turning up at other European events and answering the questions newcomers are too shy to ask.
