Gay Halloween in Europe has turned into a proper weekend on the circuit calendar, and in 2026 the timing could hardly be better. The 31st of October falls on a Saturday, which means three nights in a row, from Friday 30 October to Sunday 1 November, for anyone willing to pack a costume. Before you book a flight, though, a word of warning: many lists online announce events that nobody has confirmed yet. For this guide we only kept what the organisers themselves have published, and we tell you clearly when a regular party has not announced its 2026 date.
Why this gay Halloween weekend is a good one
A Saturday Halloween is the ideal set-up. Big productions can build a whole weekend around it, with an opening party on Friday, the main event on Saturday and a closing on Sunday. Smaller clubs can go all in on the night itself without asking anyone to take a day off.
There is a bonus for anyone who wants to stretch the trip. Winter Pride Maspalomas, in Gran Canaria, runs from 2 to 8 November 2026 and starts the Monday after Halloween. A late-autumn escape can therefore combine a costume party in the north and a week of sunshine in the south.
Brussels: La Demence, the heavyweight
If one name dominates gay Halloween in Europe, it is La Demence. The Brussels party celebrates its 37th anniversary with a three-night weekend, and its organisers expect around 10,000 people from all over the world for the main night.
Three nights, two venues
The weekend opens on Friday 30 October at the Fuse, on Rue Blaes, the club where La Demence was born. The opening party runs from 10pm to noon the next day. On Saturday 31 October, the main party moves to the ING Arena, the former Palais 12 near the Atomium: doors at 9pm, first show at 11pm, music until 9am. The closing party brings everyone back to the Fuse on Sunday 1 November, again from 10pm to noon.
Line-up and tickets
In the main room on Saturday, Andy O’Kean, Andrei Stan, Max del Principe, Pagano and Chris Bekker take turns from opening to closing. A second room features Kenne Perry, John Dixon, Ben Manson and Skippo. The Saturday ticket costs 65 euros, or 55 euros for under-26s. Two nights cost 95 euros (85 euros under 26), and the full three-night pass costs 120 euros (110 euros under 26). You will find the essentials on our La Demence Halloween 2026 event page.
Cologne: Gayoween, the costume party
Germany’s party capital has its own gay Halloween tradition. Gayoween, billed by its organisers as the big gay and lesbian Halloween party, takes place on Saturday 31 October 2026 at Quater1, a short walk from the Heumarkt stop, from 10pm to 5am.
The concept is simple and generous: three floors with three moods. Pop on the first, house on the second, and retro and bad taste on the third, with a lounge and an outdoor smoking area. Walking acts, themed decor and a photo shoot complete the picture. The ticket costs 25 euros, which makes it one of the most affordable options in this guide. The crowd is mainly LGBTQ+, and straight friends are welcome.
Lyon: Garçon Sauvage XXL
France does not have a Halloween giant on the scale of La Demence, but Lyon offers the most convincing gay Halloween plan we found. Garçon Sauvage XXL takes over the Transbordeur, in Villeurbanne, on Saturday 31 October from 11:30pm. The organisers, Plus Belle La Nuit, promise performances and a non-stop line-up, and the dress code is short: fabulous outfit required.
Tickets cost 35 euros and the party is for adults only. The line-up had not been published at the end of September. Paris, on the other hand, had no queer Halloween night confirmed for 2026 at that date.
London: gay Halloween at the Royal Vauxhall Tavern
The Royal Vauxhall Tavern, one of London’s best-known LGBTQ+ venues, has published its whole Halloween weekend. On Friday 30 October, Push The Button runs from 10pm to 4am. The real costume night is Saturday 31 October with Dandy, advertised as a “Halloween disco”, also from 10pm to 4am. The weekend ends on Sunday 1 November with the Sunday Cabaret, from 4pm to 10pm.
The format suits those who prefer a pub stage and drag to an arena. Prices are not shown on the venue’s programme, so check before you go.
The regulars that have not announced 2026 yet
Some of the best-known gay Halloween parties in Spain have not put their 2026 edition online. They are worth watching, but do not book around them yet.
Madrid: WE Party Halloween
WE Party has made Halloween one of its big autumn dates, and in recent years it has held it at Sala La Riviera, on the evening of 31 October. At the end of September 2026, however, the official WE Party website showed no date, venue or tickets for this year. Barcelona: Churros con Chocolate at Sala Apolo
The queer party Churros con Chocolate runs a Halloween edition at Sala Apolo, with three rooms, shows, bingo, karaoke and a costume contest with prizes. The last edition shown on its official page took place on Sunday 27 October 2024, from 4pm to 5am. No 2026 date was online at the end of September.
Two destinations with a twist
Sitges: horror comes before Halloween
Sitges is often mentioned for Halloween, but we found no official gay Halloween programme there for 2026. The town’s real horror moment comes earlier: the Sitges Film Festival, the fantasy and horror film festival, holds its 59th edition from 8 to 18 October 2026, and its Zombie Walk fills the streets on Saturday 10 October from 7:30pm. For a gay getaway with a spooky flavour, that is the weekend to choose.
Gran Canaria: a warm-up for Winter Pride
In Maspalomas, no dedicated gay Halloween event had been announced at the end of September. The logic of the calendar speaks for itself, though: arrive for the Halloween weekend and stay for Winter Pride Maspalomas 2026, from 2 to 8 November, with the bars of the Yumbo Centre on the doorstep.
Practical tips for your gay Halloween weekend
- Book early. Brussels fills up on La Demence weekend, and the same goes for flights and hotels.
- Think about your costume and the cloakroom. At a nine-hour party, a light outfit and a locker make all the difference.
- Check the official channel before paying. Aggregator websites often list events as confirmed when the organiser has not published anything.
- Plan your way home. Many of these parties end after sunrise, when public transport is only just restarting.
