Bar TR3S has been serving Lisbon’s LGBTQ+ community since 2010. Bear owned and run, it is a gay bar in Lisbon set in Príncipe Real, on Rua Rúben A. Leitão, within easy reach of the neighbourhood’s other gay venues. It is known well beyond the city: Bear World Magazine has counted it among the ten best bear bars in the world.
The menu leans on cocktails, from classic caipirinha and caipiroska to strawberry and passion fruit versions, with a wide choice of gins and cold beers. The outside seating area is one of the bar’s main attractions, and even on quieter nights there is usually a crowd. Themed parties are announced on Facebook, and the bar can host birthdays and other celebrations.
TR3S is also the city base of Lisbon Bear Pride, held at the end of May, with welcome, theme and farewell parties at the bar and daytime events at a partner hotel in Caparica. The bar opens at 18:00 every day and closes at 02:00 from Sunday to Thursday, and at 03:00 on Friday and Saturday.
