Trumps

Trumps is a landmark of Lisbon nightlife and a gay club in Lisbon with more than four decades of history. It sits on Rua da Imprensa Nacional in Príncipe Real, the neighbourhood where most of the city’s LGBTQ+ bars are found, and it describes itself as the most iconic LGBTQIA+ brand in Portugal.

The club runs two dance floors, one for tribal and house, the other for pop and funk, with resident DJs, dancers and drag queens. The calendar is packed, with themed nights from Thursday to Saturday, each with its own recurring party name, plus occasional Sunday parties. Special events and seasonal parties have their own pre-sale tickets, with entry including one or two drinks.

Doors open late, around 23:45 on event nights, and parties run until the early morning. Tickets can be bought in advance on the club’s website, and a guest list is also available. After 21:00 on the day, tickets are sold at the door. Trumps has also taken its parties abroad, to Pride events and partner nights in Spain, Brazil, Ireland and Italy.
