BCN Checkpoint is a community-based sexual health centre in Barcelona, aimed at gay, bisexual and trans people and other men who have sex with men. It is located on Carrer del Comte Borrell, in the Eixample, a short walk from the bars of the Gaixample, and it is a key address for LGBTQ+ health services in Barcelona, whether you live in the city or are visiting.
The centre offers HIV testing and testing for other sexually transmitted infections, access to PrEP, vaccinations and follow-up for people living with HIV. It also runs psychological support, including a dedicated chemsex service, and specific services for trans people. It is a place where you can ask questions about your sexual health without having to explain your life first.
BCN Checkpoint is open Monday to Friday from 7:30 to 20:30. It is also active in research and advocacy, with recent projects on access to sexual health for LGBTQIA+ migrants. Check the website before going to see how each service is organised.
