Club Church opened in 2008 on Kerkstraat, in the canal belt between Leidsestraat and the flower market, and has become a reference for gay cruising in Amsterdam. The idea is simple: a different party almost every night, each aimed at a different part of the community, from naked nights and underwear parties to fetish evenings, bear nights and drag-friendly dance parties.
Each party has its own dress code, published in advance, and some nights let you in for free if you come naked or in full drag. Admission is usually between €10 and €17, coat check included, with reduced prices for guys aged 26 and under at certain events. Inside you will find a bar, a dance floor on party nights, a large darkroom and five private cabins, two of them with slings. Most nights are men only, open to trans men, while some events welcome all genders.
Opening times change with each party, so check the online agenda before you go. Photography is strictly forbidden inside. The club is a short walk from the bars of Reguliersdwarsstraat.
