Madrid Pride 2027, known locally as MADO, is one of the largest Pride celebrations in Europe, and the 2027 edition is expected across the end of June and start of July, provisionally from 30 June to 4 July. Produced by the Madrid LGBT+ business association AEGAL, it turns the Chueca district into an open-air festival of free concerts across several central squares, building to a mass march that regularly fills the heart of the Spanish capital.
MADO is spread across the streets and squares of Chueca, Madrid’s historic gay quarter. Free stages go up at Plaza Pedro Zerolo, Plaza del Rey and Puerta del Sol, hosting concerts, drag and DJ sets from late morning until the small hours across the long weekend. The whole neighbourhood becomes a pedestrian party, with bars spilling onto the pavements and hundreds of thousands of visitors moving between the stages. By night the district barely sleeps, and the party runs straight from the stages into the surrounding bars.
The festivities traditionally open with the pregon, a launch ceremony on the stage at Plaza Pedro Zerolo that hands the district over to the celebration. From there the programme runs across the squares each day, with big-name Spanish pop acts on the main stages, an atmosphere that mixes political message and pure fiesta, and the famous carrera de tacones, a race in high heels, as one of its best-known set pieces. Big Spanish and Latin pop names regularly headline the squares, and the shows are free and open to all.
The centrepiece is the manifestacion, the Pride march, led by the LGBTQ+ associations COGAM and FELGTBI+. It is one of the largest Pride demonstrations in Europe, a huge procession of floats and marching blocks that packs the Paseo del Prado and the surrounding avenues with well over a million people in the biggest years. Madrid hosted WorldPride in 2017, and its annual march has kept that scale ever since. Taking part and watching are free.
One caveat: as of mid-2026 AEGAL had not published the official 2027 calendar, and city listings marked the dates as still to be confirmed. The end-June to early-July window here follows the usual pattern, with the march most likely on the first Saturday of July, but treat it as provisional until the organiser confirms.
MADO 2027 is expected around 30 June to 4 July, centred on Chueca. The concerts and the march are free; some associated parties and circuit events are ticketed. Madrid is a major air and high-speed-rail hub, and Chueca sits in the walkable centre with its own metro stops, so getting around is easy. Early July is hot, so pace yourself, and book accommodation well ahead, as the city fills for Pride.

A whole district given over to free concerts, one of the biggest marches in Europe and a city that does nightlife like few others: Madrid Pride 2027 is a benchmark on the continental calendar. Once AEGAL confirms the dates, it is an easy anchor for an early-July trip to one of Europe’s great Pride capitals. Few cities give an entire neighbourhood over to Pride the way Madrid does, and the sheer scale of the free programme is what sets it apart.
