Amsterdam Leather Pride 2026 marks a milestone, thirty years of the Dutch capital’s leather and fetish festival, running from 15 to 19 October 2026. Officially the Leather & Fetish Pride Netherlands, it fills a long October weekend with contests, canal cruises and men-only parties, from the Mr Leather Netherlands election to the flagship Invasion night. Amsterdam Leather Pride 2026 is one of the anchors of the European fetish calendar, alongside Berlin’s Folsom, and this year it celebrates three decades in the city.
Reaching its 30th edition, the festival has grown from a small community gathering into a five-day event that draws leather, rubber and fetish men from across Europe. The programme mixes competition, community and party: title contests, workshops and dinners by day, and a run of themed club nights after dark, all centred on the city’s historic leather bars and larger event venues.
Two nights define the weekend. The Mr Leather Netherlands election, held on the Friday, sees candidates interviewed by a jury and then judged by jury and public before the sash is handed over. The following night, Invasion is the flagship men-only dance and darkroom party, the biggest night of the festival. A fetish canal cruise, a puppy contest and a Mr Rubber Europe election round out a packed bill.
This is an openly sex-positive, adults-only event, with men-only parties and darkrooms at its core. It is aimed squarely at the leather and fetish community and those curious about it, with dress codes that are part of the fun. Visitors should come knowing the tone, which is a long way from a mainstream street Pride.
The festival is spread across Amsterdam venues, from the historic Eagle and the Cuckoo’s Nest to larger clubs in Amsterdam-Noord for the big parties. The compact centre means most are within easy reach, and the city’s long-standing leather scene keeps things busy well beyond the official programme.
Few cities suit a leather and fetish festival as naturally as Amsterdam. The compact old centre packs a remarkable density of gay and fetish bars into a few walkable streets, the Dutch attitude to sexuality is famously relaxed, and the city has hosted this scene for decades. During the festival the leather crowd is visible and welcome across the centre, from the Warmoesstraat bars to the big party venues north of the water. It is a setting where turning up in full gear feels entirely normal, which is a large part of why the event has thrived for thirty years and draws a loyal international crowd back each October.
Amsterdam Leather Pride 2026 runs from 15 to 19 October 2026, with the Mr Leather Netherlands election on Friday 16 October and the Invasion party on Saturday 17 October. Individual parties are ticketed and centre on venues across the city; the full programme is published on the official site. It is organised by Leather Pride Netherlands, and you should expect strict dress codes and men-only sections at the main events.
If leather and fetish travel is your thing, our fiche on Folsom Europe 2026 covers Berlin’s giant September weekend, the other great fixture of the European fetish year.
A thirtieth-anniversary edition, the Mr Leather Netherlands title, the Invasion party and a whole city of leather bars make Amsterdam Leather Pride 2026 a highlight of the autumn fetish calendar. It is proudly adult, deeply rooted in the community and set in one of Europe’s most relaxed cities. For leather and fetish men, October in Amsterdam is a date worth building a trip around.
