Maspalomas Pride by Freedom 2027 is the spring Pride of Gran Canaria, expected in early May in the south of the island around the Yumbo Centre. One of Europe’s biggest resort Prides, it gathers around eighty thousand people over a week of concerts, pool parties and its signature Grand Float Parade. It is organised by the Freedom Asociacion LGBT, and the 2026 edition marked its twenty-fifth anniversary, so 2027 continues a landmark run for the event.
The centrepiece is the Grand Float Parade, a procession of more than twenty floats that draws tens of thousands to the streets of Playa del Ingles and finishes at the Yumbo Centre. In 2026 the parade was held on the Saturday afternoon at 4pm, and aggregator sites already point to Saturday 8 May 2027; that date has not yet been confirmed by the organiser, so treat it as provisional until the official programme is published.

The main stage at the Yumbo Centre hosts official concerts and shows that are free and open to the public, a defining feature of the event: the core of the programme costs nothing. Around it run pool parties in the gay hotels of Playa del Ingles and a long list of official and unofficial parties in the clubs of the centre, more than thirty events across the week in a typical year. The 2026 edition marked twenty-five years of the event, and while it was trimmed to seven days that year, it still packed concerts, galas and pool parties into the week.
Freedom is a non-profit association, and Maspalomas Pride keeps a campaigning dimension alongside the festivities, with a manifesto reading and acts of advocacy that anchor the week in the reason Pride exists. The event is expected in early May 2027 around the Centro Comercial Yumbo, Avenida de Estados Unidos 54, in Maspalomas, but the organiser had not published the 2027 dates as of July 2026. The Yumbo main-stage shows are free; pool parties and some events are ticketed. Gran Canaria airport is about thirty minutes away. Confirm the exact dates and parade day on the official site before booking, as the figures currently circulating come from third-party listings. Around eighty thousand people are expected over the week, so once the official dates are out, booking flights and beds early is essential, especially in the complexes closest to the Yumbo.
