Eagle London has been part of the Vauxhall gay scene since 2004, on Kennington Lane a short walk from Vauxhall station and just along the road from the Royal Vauxhall Tavern. It works as a bar and a gay club in London at the same time, with a dance floor, house and disco on the decks and a crowd that changes with each night’s party.
The doors open four nights a week. Thursday is a relaxed late bar from 8pm to 2am, Friday and Saturday run from 9pm to 4am with rotating parties such as Bear Bash, Handsome House Party or MEN INC, and Sunday, from 8pm to 3am, belongs to Horse Meat Disco, the long-running disco night that has made the venue known well beyond London. Monday to Wednesday the club is closed.
Happy hour runs at the start of each night, from 8pm to 10pm on Thursdays and for the first hour on the other nights. The Eagle also has its own app for event listings, and the official calendar is the place to check each weekend’s line-up and ticket details.
