LL Bar

LL Bar, also known as LL Show Bar, is a gay bar in Madrid on Calle de Pelayo, in the middle of Chueca and a few minutes from the Chueca and Gran Vía metro stations. It has been part of the neighbourhood’s nightlife for decades and is best known for one thing: a drag show every single night of the week.

The venue is split over two levels. Upstairs is the stage, where the queens, many of them Spanish and Latin American artists, perform in Spanish with plenty of audience interaction, so expect to be pulled into the act if you sit in the front row. Downstairs, a second bar offers a calmer corner for a cocktail and a chat. The decor leans retro and the audience mixes locals and visitors.

Doors open in the late evening and the shows start from 22:30, with a Saturday afternoon session called Tardeo. Entry is paid at the door and includes a drink, and no booking is needed. Arrive early on weekends if you want to see the stage.
